Valentines Day Card Production 2009 - 10 tips to save money with your inkjet cartridge ink
It would seem an odd combination, but yes it is true, the inkjet cartridge printer is the perfect vehicle to drafting and finalising your sonet to your loved one for Valentines Day this year.
1. Start with a blank sheet and list out all the things you love about your partner.
2. Choose 3 items from the list that make you laugh, they are sure to make your Valentine laugh too
3. Search in clip art or similar to find some feature images that bring out the funny side of your relationship. Maybe some interesting cookery photos, or gardening mishaps!
4. Place your images in a software programme - a typical wordprocessor will work just fine.
5. Compose on the second page a beautiful message for your loved one, or if they have a great sense of humour an incredibly funny one. If you find it hard to come up with someting yourself, get inspiration from an old card or have a peek in the shops!
6. Set your inkjet printer to "draft" mode - this will save your inkjet cartridge ink until you are happy with your printed design. Print out a draft. It may not be as you would like yet - but you can edit it.
7. Make changes to your design and keep printing in draft mode to conserve your inkjet cartidge ink until you are happy
8. If you can, choose some nice coloured paper to make your final version, perhaps light pink for a girl and white for a man. Be careful that the printing will still come out nice and readable on the coloured paper. This will depend on the colours of the text and images
9. Envelopes - the finshing touches. Most inkjet cartridge printers will have an envelope setting. This is a great way to address your envelope and ensure your loved one cannot guess that it came from you. It is a bit crazy I know as 9 times out of 10 they are gonna know anyway. Still for fun it is great to try. Same idea use the draft mode on your printer to conserve your inkjet cartridge ink until you are happy, then press the print button.
10. Fold the card nicely, stick a few kisses in and hide until the big day. You can feel good that you have made a really personal Valentines card with almost not cost. Your partner is sure to love it as you made it yourself.
