How to recycle epson cartridges. We were very pleased to receive a request on how to recycle Epson cartidges. Most of the organisations listed do not suppoert Epson cartridge recycling.

We have conducted some research following this request..

"I use epson cartridges - can you advise anywhere I can send postfree my

empty cartridges for charity
Sally"

We have not been able to find a charity who support the recycling of these cartridges. However Epson do appear to run a programme of recycling themselves - although not for charity. Still better than throwing them away.

The address is

Service Materials Management (SMM)
EPSON Telford Ltd.
Hortonwood 40
Telford
Shropshire
TF1 7YD

Thank you to http://www.cartridges4charity.co.uk/epsons.htm

We have found a very useful article by Tim Jenkins at http://www.timjenkins.co.uk/epson.php

Here he posts a copy of his communications with Epson where they explain that Epson believe the most environmental route is to recycle the cartridges into energy.

Unfortunately we have not been able to find a charity who via freepost can take your used Epson Inkjet Cartridges and recycle them.

From the available material on the web it would appear that they cannot be re-used due to their design.

If any readers have further information please post it here.
