Selected Brother Printer Types by James Kara Murat

There are several brands of printers available in the market. One of these is Brother which offers customers with various types of laser and inkjet printers. Whether you want a printer for office or for home use, you will be able to find the perfect type for your needs. One of the highest-rated printers of Brother is the MFC 7420 All-In-One, which is among the several laser printer types of this maker. When you go for the MFC 7420, you will be provided with plenty of choices. An example of these would be the refurbished MFC 7420 Laser Flatbed, which can come up with up to twenty ppm prints. Another example would be the MFC 7420 Laser Printer, which also functions as a scanner; fax machine; and a copier. This flexible MFC model can be a black and white copier, a color scanner, and a monochrome printer.

When you want to print colored images, you can just go for Brother MFC 3360C which is an All-In-One inkjet printer. The output of this printer is colored, while the interface which is suitable for it is USB. The cartridge type of the MFC 3360C is inkjet; and it lets you print pictures without borders. Like the MFC 7420, this latter type of printer provides you with various options. When you want your printer to function as a faxing machine with high speed capability, all you have to do is purchase the MFC 3360C Multi-Function Color Inkjet Printer. If you are looking for a printer for business purposes, you can opt for the MFC 3360C Color Sheetfed All-In-One.

Other than the MFC models, Brother also has DCP printer models. One of these is the Brother DCP 7020 All-In-One laser printer. The output of this printer is black and white; with a Parallel and USB 2.0 interface. The type of its cartridge is laser toner and it can print up to twenty ppm prints. This model has a version which allows you to come up with digital print copies, and scan colored images. This version is the DCP 7020 Digital Copier, Laser Printer, and Color Scanner. If you want a compatible printing machine for your fax at home or in your office, you can just opt for the DCP 7020 Multi-Function Monochrome Laser Printer.

Another Brother Printer type is the Brother HL 2040 laser printer, which has a black and white color output. The interfaces which are suitable for this printer are Parallel, USB 2.0, and USB. When you want an HL printer that does not take up too much space on your desk, go for the HL 2040 Personal laser printer. Despite its small size, this personal printer allows you to print high quality copies quickly. On the other hand, the HL 2040 Monochrome laser printer has a capacity of 250 sheets; along with a single-sheet manual.

The great thing about the HL printers is the opportunity to save up on space because of their small design. When you want to know more about the other types of Brother Printers, you can just log on to its website.

How To Write A Jaw-Dropping Headline by Martin Stephens

It is simple if you have copy writing talent and know a few tricks. Talented copywriters have that certain instinct and can grasp of the psychology of the audience that most folks take for granted.

If you have never written an attention-getting headline or if you have tried and failed miserably then you are likely one of the masses who can fix this problem with just a little education and some luck.

If that doesn't work then you'll have to study and test a little more or hire a copywriter if you are in a hurry.

Let's proceed. Maybe you are planning to create a brochure, flyer, newspaper or yellow page ad. Seems like a good idea to do it yourself. How hard can it be? Put one together and save some bucks.

If you keep a couple of things in mind as you are planning your advertisement and if you do a little homework, you are on your way to success. You can do it.

First thing you have to know is that an effective advertisement must have a benefit-laden headline. You see, people buy with emotions. So, if you can cause an emotional response in your target audience by delivering some sort of benefit, the reader will want to know more. Your words must resonate with the audience in such a way that they can identify with what you are saying.

Have you ever read ad copy and thought to your self, "Yes, I understand. That'st me?"

Kind of like fishing. You bait the hook with something the fish finds enticing, then set the hook and try to reel 'em with a further description of features and benefits.

Next thing you do once you understand that a good headline must have a benefit involved is to go to the nearest magazine rack and peruse the tabloids. Those tabloids won't do anything for you except momentarily satisfy your curiosity. Chances are you still won't be satisfied because the tabloid stories are often misleading, but at least you parted with your money in search of some juicy insights.

Those writers get paid big bucks to generate enticing headlines. They are pure masters. So, there is a cost effective source to pattern your headline.

You can also download a pdf file, 100 Greatest headlines that may boost your creativity. The headlines are dated but were written by some of the best copy writers in the world. All you need to do is scan the list until you find something that may work and then plug in your own words. There is a link to the pdf in the author source block below. It is a direct link. You do not have to sign up or give up your email address to obtain it.

Last thing to know is that the headline is an advertisement for the content to follow. So, when putting together your ad copy, create several topical benefit headlines and then add your content below. By writing your headline first you can get your eye on the objective. You are now ready to practice.

The History of HP by Brenda Stokes

It all started in 1939 when Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard created HP when they worked on an audio oscillator in a garage in Palo Alto, California. After Walt Disney bought several of these oscillators for their latest movie, Fantasia, the company was off and running.

So how did this small company expand from a garage to being the world leader in information technology? While HP began as a company that produced all sorts of electronic products, their first focus was on test products like counters and voltmeters.

Later on in the sixties, HP ended up becoming the founder of Silicon Valley. They got into semiconductors in the early sixties and by 1966, they entered the computer market with the HP 2100 and the HP1000. These were sturdy models that lasted for a good twenty years before more advancements saw screen keys and the HP 2640 rise to the occasion.

Here is an interesting fact: while HP is given credit as producing the first PC, they avoided alienating their market by calling it a calculator!

1984 saw the emergence of their first HP inkjet and laser printers. These were meant for the desktop. Later on in the 90s, HP rose in popularity, marketing their computers to the average consumer and opening an online store to help reach them.

Now, HP printers lead the country in reliable printing supplies and devices. Many different models are available making them suitable for home, small business and corporate use. It is pretty easy to find a household with an HP computer, printer, digital camera and other devices. People tend to stick with one brand and HP offers everything a person might need for their office.

The History of Dell by Brenda Stokes

Michael Dell, in 1984 founded Dell in order to directly serve their customers with computers that meet their needs. The company was called PC’s Limited and he was still a student at University of Texas at the time. The following year, Dell came out with their very first computer called the Turbo, which had an eight-megahertz processor. The major goal was to produce personal computer systems that were IBM compatible and were produced or entirely stock parts.

What set the company apart was not just its consumer-oriented focus but also its allowance for people to customize their computers during the ordering process. Because each computer was individually assembled, this was possible.

The company grossed 73 million dollars in the first year. The company went public in 1988 offering shares for $8.50 a piece.

The first Dell laptop made its debut in 1991 and by 1993, it became one of the top five computer companies in the world. By 1995, those $8.50 shares were worth $100. The progress of the business was rapid and in 1997, Dell had shipped its ten millionth system.

In 1996, Dell began selling their products through their website and three years later they took over Compaq

Jumping forward a bit, in 2003, Dell introduced their first Dell printers for the public, including those intended for the average consumer and businesses. Dell printers are known for being versatile and easy to use, however a recent development has brought skepticism to the company when Lexmark began working with them whom modified their cartridges so that they don’t work with Dell printers.

However, Dell has a long track record with customer satisfaction, at the very least in regards to their computer products.

Tips to Cut Your Budget on Wedding Invitation by Jerry Leung

Designing and making wedding invitation can be something as expensive as your wedding photography and gown. It can be even more expensive if you want to make the wedding cards extremely unique and elegant. However, if you would like to save money on this item, there are still some ways to do it.

Estimate the number of guests accurately

You will certainly have to make the guest list. However, from my experience, most couple will only have a rough idea of the number of guests when they order the invitations. They have not finished the guest list yet. In this case the only way is to order a larger quantity since it will be nearly impossible (unless you pay a lot) to make extra cards if you find that ten cards are missing. Yet it is in fact costing you more since you may not need so many cards.

As a result, you can save some money if you can have an accurate estimation of your number of guests since you do not need to order the extra in order to play save. This does not only help you to save money but also help to protect our Earth since it creates less waste.

Eliminate other stationeries

Traditionally, you will at least need to make the save the date card, wedding invitation, RSVP and thank you card in order to get a whole set of wedding stationeries. Making more items means a larger budget. If your goal is to save money, you can order the most essential items only.

You can order the invitation cards only. You can ask your guests to save the date by phone. Your guests will also probably give you a phone call to tell you if they will attend your wedding or not.

Print the card yourself

I always emphasize that the best way of saving money is DIY. You can certainly save some money if you print the card yourself. If you think the job will be too much for you and your partner, you may ask your close relatives and friends to help you. They will be more than happy to help since it is your wedding.

You can shop for the cheapest yet acceptable materials for your wedding cards. You can check from your local bookstores for the materials. However, you should always test if your printer at home can print on the materials first otherwise you will just waste your money on the materials.

Create a wedding website

It is a trend for couples to create wedding websites. By using a wedding website, you can put the details of your wedding into it otherwise you will need to print the information on cards which will most probably be more expensive.

You can also consider sending your invitation to your guests via email and advise them to refer to the wedding website. For the thank you notes, you can either put them into your website or send them via email again. In this case you should be able to save even more.

Postcard Printer: How to Obtain and Print Postcard Perfect Photos? by Owen Monilla<

Finding the right images and a reputable postcard printer are vital in your quest to create a quality postcard.

For some people, having access to talented artists, illustrators and photographers is the foremost thing. For others, finding a theme or concept appears to be the most important element in creating a postcard.

Still, postcards are the most image-dependent among all the print projects. Without the right images, postcards would appear to lose its charisma. It might even come off as strange.

So which or what makes a great photo for the postcard? And how does one rate a photo? Without going into the details of professional photography, let us just try to limit ourselves and see how we can tell what a great photo is from mediocre. And let’s see just how we can make full use of it.

Focus
Like any message, the photo needs a subject. It is the central point of interest and is usually placed in the foreground of the shot (towards the viewer).

Just as important as knowing what to include is knowing what to exclude. Anything that isn't part of the subject or its context is only a distraction. It can clutter up the image and dilute the message.

So eliminate extraneous surroundings - usually by moving closer to the subject - and make a clear, tidy shot. A painter creates art by addition - adding more paint - whereas a photographer creates art by subtraction - removing unnecessary elements.

Color
‘Stock-quality' images make great use of color. Look for solid primary colors: bright 'sports-car' red, emerald green, lightning yellow, and ocean blue. This makes the subjects of your photo stand out better.

Alternatively, look for 'color harmony' within the subjects of the photographs, where scenes reflect somehow a seamless blend of colors. The almost similar shades of colors and tones from one family can do this. Imagine warm oranges, sunset yellows and reds.

This collection of colors presents a calm, restful image where the eye plays with the differing shades and intensities. Look for pastels, cream, or other colors provided by nature.

Dramatic Lighting
Photographs that are very intriguing and captivating are often ones that make interesting use of light. Look out for beams of light shining through clouds, trees or windows, long shadows, and the like. Photos taken at certain angles like side- and backlighting produce different effects as well.

Shoot in the warm golden hours of early morning and late afternoon. This would work wonderfully for photos because the light is not as harsh.

Develop Your Style
There are a lot of fantastic photos out there and a myriad of tutorials on how you can recreate them. But that’s only half of the story. Make something you borrowed entirely your own.

Think of it as cooking a new dish. Follow the recipe perfectly and then add in the flavors that you want that will make it your signature dish. You can touch up your photos, frame it the right way, crop it, and do whichever it is you think that would make it fit your wonderful vision of your postcard.

Quality images are a product of many years of experience and to a lesser degree, training. It is much better to keep on practicing how to take great photos and what would look great in your prints. By doing this and by studying qualities of good photos online, you will soon develop the eye and the skills to spot quality photos immediately for your postcard printing.

Remember to find the right postcard printer for you quality photos. Search for them online and compare each one to the other, carefully selecting the one who would take care of your photos and postcard design as much as you do. Once you do this, be ready to transform your images into high-quality prints you’ll be more than proud to show off.

For Inexpensive Wedding Invitations - Do Them Yourself by David Silva

Looking for a way to keep your wedding invitations inexpensive? One of the easiest solutions, that's both enjoyable and personal, is to make them yourself.

There's never been a better time to make your own inexpensive wedding invitations. A little creativity, some extra time, and you can create a wedding invitation your friends and family will cherish for years to come. Depending on what you include and how much you do yourself, it's even possible to create your invitations for as little as fifteen to thirty cents a piece.

So how do we get started?

First, keep in mind that you'll want your invitations to reflect the theme of your wedding. For example, a very formal wedding should include formal invitations. This generally translates to engraved black, silver, or gold text against a cream or white paper. No graphics. The text is confined to the right, inside fold of the invitation. A touch of elegance can be added with a simple sheet of blotter tissue.

For a more casual wedding, your invitations should be casual, a little more creative and personal. Graphics are fine, for example. Calligraphy can be used in place of formal typesetting. Personal touches, such as paper flowers or poems or photographs can be included. If your wedding is a theme wedding, say perhaps a Victorian theme, then your invitations might include a sheet of lace or a photograph from the era.

This is your chance to be really creative. Inexpensive wedding invitations do not need to appear cheap, nor do they need to restrict the vision you have for your wedding.

Okay, let's begin by creating a traditional wedding invitation on your own and saving on the cost of sending the job out to a professional. First, you have to decide what you want to include. There's the invitation, of course. It's sent in an envelope. There's the RSVP card, which generally includes its own return envelope. There's a reception card if the reception will be at a different location than the wedding ceremony. And finally, there's a card with directions detailing how to get to the wedding.

Of course, not all of these are necessary for each and every traditional wedding. You'll have to decide which ones are right for your situation and which ones you can live without.

Now, for a traditional wedding, you don't want to get too craftsy with the invitations. They should be clean, subtly elegant, and pleasant to read. In the past, your only option would have been to send them out. Today, fortunately, you have another option ... wedding invitation kits.

These come in many choices, from computer-printable invitation sheets ($3.95 for 50) to blank, rich and luxurious card stock ($8.00 for 50), from complete seal and send invitations to cotton handmade papers. Complete the design on your computer, run the invitations through your printer (or take them to Kinkos), and viola! you've got your traditional wedding invitations for a fraction of the normal price.

These kits can be found online using a simple search. You can also find them locally, often at office supply stores or general retail stores (think Target). To spruce them up, add tissue paper sheets from your local arts and crafts store as blotter paper.

The good news is ... for the less formal wedding invitation ... just about anything goes. For instance, a handcrafted card on heavy, cream-colored paper with a sheet of tissue paper is more than sufficient. If you'd like to make it even more personal and unique, you might add a photograph, or have a friend with calligraphy talent write each card by hand. Paper flowers can also be a nice touch. Poems, too.

Try your local craft store for other ideas. They should have a variety of wax seals, embossed seals, fine vellum papers, and multi-colored ribbons you can use to make each invitation even more unique and personal. The key is that you're trading your time for the cost of printed wedding invitations. It's not only a great way to stay within your budget, but it's also a great way to create truly unique invitations that friends and family members will cherish for years to come.

An inexpensive wedding invitation doesn't mean an ugly or embarrassing invitation. In fact, with a little creativity and some smart shopping, you can save hundreds of dollars and still create a wedding invitation to die for.

Advanced Techniques For Unclogging Print Heads by Richard Sherland

Dealing with a clogged print head can be frustrating but this is no time to get into a hurry. Cleaning solvents can take many hours to do the job. And remember your trying to save the life of a printer. If all fails you printer may be ready for the printer graveyard. I'm talking about printers with the built in print heads here. It's probably best to explain the different types of printers now.

There are two rough categories of printers one with the print head built into the printer. For example Epson some Xerox and Canon .The other are Hp and Lexmark, which have the print heat built into the cartridge.

On most of the printers with built in print heads it is a major job to remove the print heads so all of our cleaning methods are with them left in the printer.

Most of the clogs that occur while you are printing aren't severe. The ones that are in many cases tough are when the printer has been sitting for a long time without being used. In this case the ink can dry as hard as a rock.

The first thing to do is to run the print head cleaning cycle 3 to 5 times. If you don't know how to do this check your manual or check online for a manual if you don't have one. After running the cleaning cycles, check the print out for the slightest change for the better. If it's getting better let it cool for a few minutes and continue. If it stays the same or gets worse move on to the next method.

Epson recommends running the cleaning cycle several times then printing a test page. Don't print a test page after each cleaning cycle on a tough clog. It does waste more ink this way but is necessary when you have one that is badly clogged.

If you still have problems its time to move on to more advanced methods. On Ebay you can purchase a Cleaner Called E.K.S. in small quantities. I'm in no way affiliated with this company by the way. Just type in Epson head cleaner and it will come up. This cleaner will work for all other brands also. I recommend that you keep some of this on hand if you have this type of printer.

Normally if you open the printer cover you can't move the print heads around. So here's what we do. Turn on the printer and watch the print heads move around while they are still moving unplug the power cord. Now you can move the print heads back and forth with your fingers. Take a piece of paper towel and cut out apiece about 3 inches long and 1 and a half wide. Fold this accordion style until you have a strip about one half inches wide. This isn't critical.Put some of the head cleaner on the paper towel and lay the paper down flat and move the print head until it's over the paper. You may have to work at this there's not too much extra room to get the paper under there. The wet towel will stay moist for several hours and keep the head wet with solvent. This is one of the most powerful ways of getting the job done.

Check the towel every few hours and if it's dried out apply a little cleaner with a syringe. Let it sit at least overnight for a real stubborn clog. Leave the printer cartridges out because it can wick all of the ink out of the cartridge. Apply a little of the solvent to the little pins that go up into the cartridge to keep this area wet also. Use the cleaner sparingly as you don't want to get this cleaner down onto the circuit boards. This would cause a short and maybe ruin the printer.

When you get ready to run a print test remember that it may take awhile for the print head to get filled with ink so it might not print on the first tries even if it's unclogged. There is one other method that techs use. Get a short length of one-eighth inch clear plastic tubing at a hardware store. Hook this onto a syringe. Slip the plastic tubing over the little pins the ones that go into the cartridge. Then push in on the plunger to try to force air through the print head. Always push the air through don't try to suck air through by pulling on the plunger.

If the printer is under warranty you could just send it back for repairs instead of going through this. But if not under warranty it will probably cost you more than it's worth to send it to the factory, as they will many times replace the print heads. If you don't have any of the recommended cleaner and it's an emergency you might try a solution of 50% distilled water and 50 % ammonia. Well good luck I hope this helps.

Richard Sherland has been in the cartridge refill business for six years. He is affiliated with Global Inka factory printer cartridge and computer accessories manufacturer he also has an ezineFree information on many subjects

Get noticed by using custom banners for promotion

In this world, maintaining a unique identity is getting tougher as time passes. Everyone has an online profile, everyone wears the same type of clothes, and everyone possesses the same kind of goods and unless things are customized one stands to lose their identity in this crowd. So, whether it is about possessing things, about dressing up or about advertising about goods or services you need to do things in a different way to get noticed and be counted by one and all. If you talk about advertising and promotion there are several means that can be used for advertising and custom banners are something that can perhaps just help you making the announcement in a different way. Grabbing the attention of the people has become very difficult as everyone is in a big hurry these days. So, whatever means you use for promotion you must make sure that you do it in such a way that it garbs the eyeballs and attention of one and all instantly. This is the only way to reach out to your target audience.

Custom banners are ideal just for any purpose; you just need to ensure that you are communicating the right kind of message across using that. Well, it is understood that you may not be able to make the banner, it is the job of a professional so let them handle the work for you. Creating custom banners requires lots of effort and time and a professional banner maker or manufacturer is the perfect person to do that work. There are several companies and professionals as well who operate in this field, you must take some time out and select the best professionals in this field to help you out in making the best custom banners for your requirements. You will easily find such a person if you search at just the right places.

Custom banners are the perfect place where an art director and a copywriter can unleash all their creativity. Whatever things you want to promote be it a good, service, a product or showing your support to a social cause you can incorporate all that and many others in custom banners. You will have to tell the copywriter and the art director about what exactly you would like to incorporate in the custom banner and what kind of message you would like to convey to your targeted audience. It is very important that you know who your target audience is and what things will appeal them. You must get the custom banner made in just the way you feel that it will appeal to your audience so that your promotion is done successfully.

Custom banners can be of any size, shape, color and it can be further enhanced by using various pictures, images, texts and punchlines. The custom banners must be put up at the appropriate places so that you can grab the attention of the audience easily. Often using a humorous tone or an unconventional message in the banner can go a long way in creating lasting impression in the mind of the audience.
